Dembélé's meteoric rise, taking PSG by storm: the latest on Ligue 1

Following the conclusion of the 2024/2025 season, the Football Exchange Index has recorded significant fluctuations in the market values of players in Ligue 1. The most notable changes concern both well-established European profiles and rising young talents, who have managed to stand out over the year. Leading the updated rankings, we find Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, each valued at 90 million, but with very different growth dynamics.

Top Three: Doué Dominates the Quarter, Dembélé Makes a Comeback, Kvara Confirms His Status

Desiré Doué (born in 2005) has been the absolute standout of the quarter, with a +30% increase that places him at the top of the rankings. The Rennes attacking midfielder has made 31 starting appearances, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists, and has been notable for an average of 2.4 successful dribbles per game. The combination of consistency, impact, and growth potential makes him one of the most intriguing profiles in the European scene.

His teammate, Ousmane Dembélé, has capitalized on Mbappé's departure by inheriting the technical legacy in PSG's new era. His value has increased by 25%, reaching 90 million, thanks to a solid season concluding with 7 goals, 11 assists, and an average of 2 key passes per match, underscoring his pivotal role in Luis Enrique's offensive system.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, on the other hand, arrived in January from Napoli, has taken very little time to settle in. In just 16 appearances in Ligue 1, he has racked up 4 goals and 5 assists, maintaining the high quality of his play and proving effective beyond Serie A.

PSG's dominance remains unchallenged

Paris Saint-Germain continues to dominate the top of the rankings: 9 of the top 10 players by value wore the Parisian club's jersey at the end of the season. The only outsider is Jonathan David, who scored 17 goals with Lille and is valued at 45 million. His transfer to Juventus, finalized in recent weeks, represents one of the most significant moves of the summer market in Serie A and could impact his future value in Football Exchange.

Values Declining: Zaïre-Emery, Ramos, and Marquinhos Under Scrutiny

Among the profiles on the decline, we find Warren Zaïre-Emery, whose value decreased by 7% following a second half of the season affected by physical issues. Despite promising early performances (4 goals and 2 assists in total), the young midfielder's output has diminished over the months.

Gonçalo Ramos sees a 5% decrease, hampered by increasingly fierce internal competition and an offensive output below expectations: just 9 seasonal goals, often coming off the bench. There's also a dip for Marquinhos (-5%), less consistent compared to his usual standards, and for Luiz Felipe, now valued at 5 million after being marginally used by Marseille.

Vito Mannone, currently a free agent, closes the ranking with a symbolic value set at 150,000.
